My great-great grandfather was in the Civil War. My great grandfather was in the Army at the turn of the century. My father, as you may know, served 21 years from 1945-1966. My mother served in the US Marines from 1944-1946. My brothers and brothers-in-law served in the United States military as well. My youngest son is considering West Point.
The following video sums up my feelings. The song is by 3 Doors Down while the video is being used to promote the National Guard. We saw it in the theatre tonight, ironically enough, before we saw American Gangster. Enjoy.
