Matt Davis, one of my dear friends (and a recent graduate from New Hope) handed me a DVD to watch.
The film is called Flywheel and I loved it! Matt's a car salesman and the film's about the life of a used car salesman...and it's good. Really good.
Made by the folks who created Facing the Giants, this film was made for under $20,000.
That's $20 x 1,000. In otherwords...the cost of a couple of days of catering on a regular full length featrue film. Amazing. It really, truly allowed me to willingly suspend my disbelief.
The message was one of hope and redeemed lives. It could be the story of Matt Davis and God's hand on
him. The film touched me deeply, as I saw so many of New Hope folks' lives captured in the life of the
main charachter played by writer/producer/director/actor Alex Kendrick.
His drug was not Meth, but Money. What's your "drug of choice"? Want help? Watch this film.
