Just spent some hours at Barnes and Noble reading Obama's second book, The Audacity of Hope.
It's apparent that either he did not have a ghost writer...or the very same team that crafts his speeches did the book. Either way, it's beyond the typical "I'm running for office" drivel/book that started with Jimmy Carter's then-unique "Man from Plains".
The book is a good read. I enjoyed it.
Of import was a section that I L'dOL over (sorry texters..). But before I tell you, I've got to show you a video piece about which just last night I was telling some friends, during 4th of July fireworks. Older viewers, gird up your Depends...you will laugh. Younger viewers, go get some hand sanitizer for your boss.
Watch this before going on....
OK, so here's the quote from would-be-President Obama about his real-life January 2005 exchange with current-President George W. Bush:
'"Obama!" The President said, while shaking my hand. "Come here and meet Laura...". The President turned to an aid nearby who squirted a big dollop of hand sanitizer in the President's hand. "Want some?" the President asked. "Good stuff. Keeps you from getting colds."
Not wanting to seem unhygienic, I took a squirt.'
I just find the two items listed so funny...but then again, something may be wrong with me...tee hee.
