For those of you who only have cats, you may not be aware that there is a whole cultural debate on whether young adults should date....or...court.
Court? What is that? (sounds like something Weird Al might mock..."We'll party like it's 1699").
A guy named Joshua Harris started a bit of a revolution a few years back when he penned a book entitled "I Kissed Dating Goodbye". It's a good book, I suppose....it seemed to light a fire under a whole bunch of young folks' tails. ( Maybe it "cooled" their tails...tee hee) .
Youth started NOT dating...all across the country. NO kidding. The whole sex blah blah thing of the teen years suddenly stopped happening for not-a-few people...all across America...including Idaho.
See, I was an eyewitness to the courting thing here in Boise when one of my children decided to implement this. Courting happened, covenants were written, agreements were made and kept.
Eventually they married. So, 5+ years later the fruit of it is still seen. No broken hearts, no "pieces" missing. Wow...
Maybe it's not a big political movement, maybe it means very little to the cat-lovers of America, but it seems to be BIG....and quiet.
