Was the Race really about race, afterall?

Right now the Electoral Count is 207 for Obama, 135 for McCain....and the major media is a bit too orgiastic for my tastes. The talking heads keep über-mentioning Obama's ethnicity (race)...but we were told over and over again that race was not to be an issue, weren't we?

Hmmmm....

So, more to come, I suppose, but what happens should the numbers go for McCain?
