Ted Kennedy's passing of his brother's flame

With the sudden seizure of Sen. Kennedy today at lunch in the Capitol, the full truth of JFK's words 48 years ago are made manifest.

The politics of old style is gone. The cult of personality no longer works. Obama's words must be followed by Obama's actions...and we must support him, from both sides of the aisle.

And the politics of mutual destruction, so well framed in JFK's 60's are no longer ours to embrace.

Though it would be vital for Sen. Kennedy to survive, the flame was passed - as it should be.
