The tough economic times in which the Valley now is trying to exist, will force families to figure out how best to educate their kids.
Public school is indeed and option. Private school can be an option - though many families are feeling the pinch to their pocket books.
Homeschooling? Many people have chosen that over the years. It's relatively inexpensive and still challenging. The rub comes in the "later years" (jr. high and high school). Algebra? Chemistry? International history? Literature? To many parents, even the names of those classes tend to bring about clammy hands and terrible memories of Mr. Penzene (their 10th grade math teacher...).
Remembering them is tough, teaching those lessons becomes almost impossible, doesn't it?
So what's a parent to do?
How about a hybrid? Vineyard Boise (VCHSC) has a great opportunity for parents and students to trim the finances of private school,be educated at home and at school, while allowing the students a great social environment, as well.
I've homeschooled my kids since 1985. We've Homeschool Co-op'ed our last son for 7 years - at the Vineyard Boise. It has been so successful that, as a Junior in high school, he's now investigating attending The US Military at West Point. Out of a homeschool environment?!!
VCHSC is now pre-school to 12th grade. Come join us. Call 377-1477 x136. Please ask for April. Space is limited. Registration is now open.
