Colin here.
March 11th 2009 rings in my head as the saddest day of my life. My brother Nate was taken from my family. These many months later, I still ask the question; the question that bites into my skull like a nail through soft wood. Why?
When my dad asked me to cut the video of Nate's memorial service into different sections, then to upload those online for others to watch, I really didn't like the idea. After doing a lifetime's worth of processing, however, the concept grew on me. My brother's life is not one to keep under wraps, nor is it one that should be grieved over by family alone. Nate Mansfield was a loving, compassionate man whose smile shown like the sun on a summer day, and who's laugh could bring even the lowest of spirits up. Why keep his memory in the confines of a DVD?
My brother inspires me more everyday, and I envy him now for where he gets to hang out. Save me a spot on that sofa, Nate.
These videos may mean little or nothing to you. For my family, however, the events which these clips brush over, have forever changed our lives.
I love you Nate.

I didn't know I needed to cry again today. I guess I did. Thanks, Lue, for putting this up. I'm not sure I would have watched it yet. I love you, baby brother.
