Thought I might exit out of Little Rock a bit early this afternoon, but no flights were available.
So what does a political addict do, with 3 hours open in the early evening? Yep, followed my GPS to Bill Clinton's Presidential Library and took it all in.
The place is SPACIOUS. Seriously roomy. Open space and empty rooms. Hallways lined with photos and memorabilia? Sure. Lots.
But it butts up next to this incomplete and aged bridge (see photo). And I sort of thought they'd have stayed away from such a poor icon, Bridge to the 21st Century and all....
Oh, the Impeachment? It's there... On a sheet of paper about 8 in by 10 in. Hmmm
Vini Vidi Vici.
Having seen Truman's Library last summer and the Nixon, Ford and Reagan ones in the past, I think President Clinton's reminds me more of a platform for a fellow intent on running for Ex-President.
That's probably just my Red State-tinted bias.

Ahh, yes Tom... you are correct.
My point, though, remains: the lift section is missing.
Hmmm...

One man's "incomplete and aged bridge" is another man's beautiful steel truss railroad bridge built in 1899 with a lift section added in 1972.
