So no one doesn't like Abraham Lincoln...at least not now, 144 years after he died.
But is it ok NOT to like the guy who authored the wording perched right above Pres. Lincoln's statue at the Lincoln Memorial?
Read it.
Read it again.
Temple? C'mon, really....Temple?
Temples really are REAL things. Israel's King David began the acquisition of materials to build a Temple in Jerusalem.
God told him that David's son, Solomon, would build it. The ancient Jewish scriptures speak of it.
Build what? A Temple...to God Almighty, Creator of the whole universe.
It's a big deal, really.
Also, just prior to Jesus' birth, King Harod built the second Temple in the same place that Solomon's was built and later destroyed.
A third Temple's supposed to be built at or about the time of Jesus' return.
Temple. It's a real word that deals with real worship.
Abe Lincoln as the center of a Temple? Oh my God.
He'd be sick to his stomach for the use of that "T" word about who he was, wouldn't he?
