I was with a group of people today who were honored to be invited to hear a number of our national leaders speak. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mullen, Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, many Representatives and US Senators and the President of the United States were there.
Kudos to the group that put on this event. It was spectacularly successful. Many people from around the nation were there.
Superficial observations of today:
I was surprised by how pretty Hilary Clinton actually is, in person. I KNOW that sounds more than a bit odd from me, but it's true. She has a natural beauty that I was truly surprised to find. I was not too far from her and I was caught off-guard and disappointed in myself.
Admitting to myself that I REALLY don't appreciate her politics is one thing. Realizing that I had mocked for her looks many times, showed me how easily I had been manipulated by non-telegenic image distortions...
I was surprised by how unattractive President Obama is in person. He's got a sort of gnarly skin texture thing going on...no kidding. Weird.
But his wife, Michelle, was a knock-out! And I kinda in the past had bought into the non-photogenic images of big-jaw woman and eye-flitting girl. (sounds like a bad super-hero combination).
The President made an oft-handed response to the issue of his "birth certificate" issue, saying that civility has been lost by our nation. The crowd had an odd semi-humorous reaction. Nervous laughter? No, but sorta.
The name of Jesus was unapologetically proclaimed. Say what? I was weirded out by the fact that it was just a plain ol' good American meeting of God and country...in Jesus name. No kidding.
I had not expected it.
Kudos to Congressman Walt Minnick for his involvement in the event.

Birthers are funny. There was an announcement in a Honolulu newspaper just days after his birth; the Republican Governor of Hawaii confirms he was born there. Or maybe you think his Mom knew he was going to be President some day, so she flew home right after giving birth to set up this huge scam? Occam's Razor applies here. Birthers are just disqualifying themselves from ever having anyone take them seriously again by demonstrating that they don't understand how the world really works. Do they really think Hillary Clinton wouldn't have brought it up in the primaries if there was a shred of a chance it was true? Birthers are as ridiculous as 9/11 Truthers.

Obama, used a morally and intellectually bankrupt media infused with Saudi dollars to hoodwink the simple minded and pseudo intellectual liberals into nominating him without prior vetting. He then used his half blackness to label anyone who raised the issue of eligibility as racist and established the subject as a taboo. He is a prime example of the effectiveness of Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” and he used them to get elected to the highest office in the land where he continues to use them, though less effectively still.
When Obama took office his eligibility became the ‘elephant in the room.’ It permeated every news conference with an uncomfortable undercurrent. Reporters carefully skirted the perilous issue, but it obviously pervaded their consciousness and the consciousness of everyone in the room.
As the American public suffers the consequences of Obama’s disastrous, possibly even treasonous policies, the issue of his eligibility becomes even more important. The ‘elephant in the room’ can no longer be ignored. Oppression has strengthened the spirit of liberty that still beats strong in the American heart. Patriotic Americans, including many who voted him into office, are tiring of this ridiculous shell game and are demanding hard evidence of his qualifications. It is evident in the tea party movement where the American public is increasingly focused on removing this cancer infecting our government.
At this week’s prayer breakfast Obama attempted to hide the ‘elephant in the room’ with a joke while reviving the taboo of his citizenship by equating it with religious tolerance. But he failed. In fact, he succeeded only in bringing the issue more clearly into focus. Now the U.S. media along with the Legislature and the judiciary may become the object of the American ire if they continue to ignore the eligibility issue made more evident this week.

Hey Den,
It is an amazing thing when the president of the United States of American will level a comment like that, when so many people including myself are asking for just the truth. He could rid himself of this issue, an issue that seems like an anchor dragging him down at every turn. He has been in office a year now...and the question of his legality is still present. What is even worse, is that anyone asking the question, gets the same arrogant response. And, no one in the government will take him to task on the issue. The last time I checked you must be born here to be the president... it is still a constitutional requirement. We are a nation of laws...are they not for everyone?
Mr. Obama...Put this issue to rest...All we want is the truth.
We can handle it!
Blessings Brother!

Great question.
We know that the President has zero experience in the military...and he most probably had not REALLY vetted the "language" of his comments (maybe only gave it a brief once-over prior to the delivery). My call is that he spoke it like it read...that simple.
But he DID sound goofy as he used it three times...I winced each time, but that's because it was Navy-talk and the squids make me queazy anyway... (tee hee)
Go Army. Beat Navy. Go Colin (Class of 2014)

What was your reaction to the Navy Corpsman remark?
Did you feel that Obama was sincere?
