Steven Spielberg & Tom Hanks on "The Pacific", by HBO, coming March 14th.

I cannot wait to watch the upcoming HBO multi-part presentation called "The Pacific".

You'll hear more about it as the month of February moves on. The Premiere is March 14th on HBO and will rival all that you saw in Band of Brothers.

Based on the lives of three Marines, "The Pacific" follows them (and their buddies) through their real-life tragedies and triumphs.

I am most anxious to see this series. My father was 17 years old when he joined the Navy and served aboard a submarine in the Pacific during WWII. He was proud of his service to his country and the stories he told me about that time in his life live with me still. My father passed away in 1990. I am sure he would have enjoyed seeing this series. He will be in my mind and heart as I watch what promises to be another tribute to the men who fought so hard to make that war the last one. Advanced kuddos to Mr. Spielberg and Mr. Hanks.
