First Lady Lori Otter invited the school kids from around the valley to come Trick or Treat at the Governor's Office at the Capitol on Sat the 30th between 2 - 5 pm.
So, I plan on bringing my grandson, Cole, age 2 1/2.
Butch and Lori will be handing out fun stuff for the kids: candy, books, tooth brushes, 1966 Mustangs (ok, maybe not that one), weekend stays with Willy Nelson (ok, ok, not that one either...but it sure sounds fun!)
And it will be fun. How could it not be? My bride, Susan, has invited her 6th Grade class at Christine Donell School of the Arts to come, as well. The invite is open to all kids...even a few of us who have not YET grown up! Butch and Lori will be dressing up, too. I wonder what costumes they'll choose?
It's not about politics, it's about kissing little baby-dolls, donning masks and believing make-believe, people dressed up, blood sucking vampires, zombies with no capaicity to think for themselves...
Come to think of it, maybe it IS about politics...ha!
Nah, just bring your babies...and in our case, our baby's baby.
(I sure hope that Keith Allred doesn't show up as the grim reaper....ha!)
