Testimony just now in the Federal Court case has been fascinating. The expert witness for the GOP today, Dr. Michael Munger, is a Stanford PhD and Duke University professor, he is being pummelled by the attorney for the independent voters.
And he's dishing it back. For instance, they are in this fist fight about the possible reality of "Trojan Horse voting".
1. Bullet Voting: when a voter casts only a single vote (or possibly votes for a couple different candidates) and does NOT vote for other candidates. True Bullet Voting can be seen when the top of the ticket is ignored.
2. Roll off Voting - also called Drop off Voting: voters cast their votes at the top of the ticket and then fail to vote for candidates, lower down the ticket, this indicates a typical trend. If a lower ticket candidate fails to fall into this typical trend (and therefore captures a much larger amount of votes than the Roll off %'s would typically exhibit) this would indicate cross over voting.
3. Reverse Roll off Voting: when voters skip the top of the ticket candidates and head directly down to a lower ticket candidate. This indicates a behavior pattern by cross-over voters to COMPLETELY ignore top tier incumbents whose opinion would otherwise be repugnant to them.
4 Sincere cross-over Voters: people vote for a candidate of another party because they truly like them.
5. Strategic cross-over Voters: people vote for a candidate of another party because they want to "use" them to achieve a goal.
Also, the Chinese torture guy from yesterday is here in Court but not (yet?) speaking.
No-drip, no-drip, no-drip sounds. Just the Trojan Horse creaking sounds....
