After the State of the Union tonight, I considered what I might blog about; one part of me wanted to dig deeply into the "fairness" issue of President Obama's comments.
Another part of me wanted to talk about Mitt Romney's surprisingly good performance after the event.
But I just couldn't do it. (Everybody will be commenting on it, I thought.)
Then, I thought about how I felt while watching the event; I thought about of the last time I saw a State of the Union like this... and the year 1977 popped into my mind.
Carter.
Weakness.
Words.
Strutting....
And Saturday Night Fever.
So, there you go.
From the first strut in 1977 to the last strut in 1983.
From Carter to Reagan
From Obama to ?
Hmmm...no wonder 1977 popped into my mind.
