Some of my followers on Twitter and FB have wondered what Campus by the Sea (on Catalina Island) is.
Let's start with what CBS is NOT.
It's not a television network - and in fact, a person can't even get television reception, cell reception and ALMOST NO internet either.
Santa Catalina Island. And we're in a cove... tucked away, unplugged.
We're volunteering here from mid-June through mid-August. Susan and I are helping families, many of whom desperately need time to help heal the hurts of life. Not all, but many.
Some come to Wrigley's old stomping grounds to relax and get stronger as a family. The camp is faith-based and planted at the foot of the cross of Christ.
For 27 summers (with a few summers where we did a couple other things) we've come here as a family for one of those precious weeks. Last year and this year we're helping other families all summer. It's very rewarding.
So, I'll be blogging (and only linking to FB and Twitter through those blogs), as I find a signal; continuing to write on life, the Lord and culture. I hope the posts encourage you.
More later.
