Minutes ago another part of a private videotape was released on which Mitt Romney makes some hard points. These comments involve the Palestinians and the peace process in Israel: that the Palesitinian leaders don't want peace. That instead they want to "pass the ball down the field". The other comments involved the 46% of Americans who do not pay taxes.
Even if the videotape captured a private moment, you've got to hand it to Romney, that he's accurate and had the stones to say these things. The PA repeatedly has rejected peace proposals, walked out of near-finalized peace agreements and its leaders have openly said that they want israel pushed into the sea.
Maybe Romney should used a watersports metaphor...
Here's what Donald Trump said, according to an Associated Press article highlighting this issue:
Real estate magnate Donald Trump, a Romney campaign surrogate, said he thought the former Massachusetts governor should not say he's sorry for his remarks.
Interviewed on NBC's "Today" show Tuesday, Trump said: "What he said is probably what he thinks. ... He's saying that that's not what he really meant. I'm sure he wishes he hadn't said it."
But Trump said Romney "won't get the votes of a lot of people he's discussing. ... Do not apologize."
The real case is that WE owe it to our neighbors and fellow citizens to start businesses, hire people and attempt to change unemployment by OUR work, not by the government's hand.
