Boise State colors: Black and Blue in the Orange of Autumn.

The old 60's song lyric, "Black is black, I want my baby back" could well have a better sports analogy linked to it today.

"Black is black, I want my Broncos back..."

And maybe we'll get them.

The uniform of dominance is set to deliver today. May the uniform be both a reminder of the past and a foretaste of the future.

BSU Black Uniforms

The Broncos will don a brand-new look today against UNLV, sporting never-before-seen black pants, black jerseys and matte black helmets. It took nearly a year for the idea to be brought to Nike to the uniforms’ arrival in Boise, and they’ve been met with vast approval by those wearing them today.

“It’s going to be sweet,” senior defensive tackle Mike Atkinson said. “We’ve been asking for the last five years to get jerseys that are black and we finally got them my senior year, so I’m excited. … It’s just a dominating color. People are terrified from that. Hopefully we can go out and prove it.” More here.
