Politics is never what it appears to be.
Case in point: Donald Trump's announcement today of the $5 million he is willing to donate to the charity of President Obama's choice - for the academic records of the POTUS.
The mainline press is reacting like it's a joke - a foolish sideshow activity in an otherwise important news day cycle.
Yet, whatever Mr. Trump is, he is not a fool.
He fires fools.
So, what is it he did today?
Did he ask BHO to release documents that no one has EVER seen during the various campaigns?
Yeah.
Did he ask for the President's passport and supporting paperwork?
Uh-huh.
Did he provide a date by which those documents (and others) were to be delivered?
Yep - October 31st. Just a few days before Americans go to vote.
And will the President respond?
No way.
So what is it.
My guess is that Donald Trump already has those papers and documents.
He may very well have them in his possession in NYC. The request is to see if the Obama folks DID supply the documents, then any forgeries would be contrasted with the "real" ones.
Nobody of any political worth ever asks a question that he doesn't already have the answer to.
Or he'd get fired.
And Donald Trump does not want to be fired by the American public.
Not over this president.
Watch and see.
Den

If you seriously think Donald Trump has anything more up his sleeve than a sad, overwhelming desire for attention than you are as pathetic as he is.
