President Obama gave an unintended opening into his deepest philosophy last evening as he closed his comments.
He said that his Presidency would give all Americans a "fair share" by his administration "channeling" the resources of the nation.
Is it a fair share we all want or a fair chance?
I believe most Americans want a fair chance to succeeded - not a share of someone else's success.
And who is to do the "channeling"?
The government?
My Heavens, when did that become a part of our nation?
No, we were not founded on "fair shares" but on the opportunity available for all of us to have the chance to do the best we can.
Success is no equal opportunity employer.
Hard work is.
