Retired Army Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer said Saturday he has sources saying President Barack Obama was in the room at the White House watching the assault on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya unfold.

If this is true, and that's a big if, what exactly could he have done to stop it? Did we have any troops or security forces in the area to prevent the result? Could we have gotten anyone there in time to prevent the result? Given that President Obama has far more information than any other person on this planet, and he has proven his willingness to use force, I have to question the veracity and timing of this "report."
