Peggy Noonan writes:
"It is one thing to think you're Lebron. Its another thing to keep
missing the basket and losing games and still think you're Lebron.
And that really was the problem: He had the confidence without the full capability. And he gathered around him friends and associates who adored him, who were themselves talented but maybe not quite big enough for the game they were in. They understood the Democratic Party, its facts and assumptions. But they weren't America-sized. They didn't get the country so well"
Wow.
Whether you are a D or an R, Peggy Noonan's comments carry an on-court wallop.
Here's what else she has to say.
Den

I've never been much impressed with Ms. Noonan, nor sought out her opinion but having a scan at your invitation, I find it disingenuous in the extreme. Like so many other conservatives, she's keen to blame all failures during the Obama administration on him. "At a certain point he lost the room."
We don't quite know what happened? Please. Obama has failings, but the Republicans, led by Mitch McConnell, had a program for their success at his expense. It was as low a program as you can imagine for someone in public service. Never mind the public good, they focused on their party's good and devil take the hindmost.
