I saw this article tonight and invite you to read it. The title is a bit misleading, but once the article unfolds its meaning, the reader understands.
The author's story is riveting.
Liza Long is from my hometown of Boise, ID.
Her article is making its way across the globe via The Huffington Post.
In part because of this paragrapgh:
"I am sharing this story because I am Adam Lanza’s mother. I am Dylan
Klebold’s and Eric Harris’s mother. I am James Holmes’s mother. I am
Jared Loughner’s mother. I am Seung-Hui Cho’s mother. And these boys—and
their mothers—need help. In the wake of another horrific national
tragedy, it’s easy to talk about guns. But it’s time to talk about
mental illness."
Many are the mothers of mentally ill children.
How difficult it is to NOT pay attention to these vast numbers now.
But Liza's article is as real as it gets.
