Seriously, are we THAT Gentile of a nation? Happy "Hammy" Chanukah?

Chanukah Ham?My friend, Pastor David Snyder, forwarded me this pic. A smile the size of either New Jersey or Israel came across my face. (There about the same size.)

David pastors a Shabbat church, 268Church.org, and tends to have his antennae up on things in American Christianity and culture that just do not make sense.

Like having a special sale price for boneless smoked ham.... on a Jewish holiday. On any day for Jews, really.

Are we THAT gentile that we don't even know why this doesn't quite fit?

Ha, my guess is that some well intentioned national supermarket-chain sales and marketing gentile guy had a really cool idea...

Oh, it's worse than that. It actually comes from a gourmet grocery store in Greenwich Village, where they really should have known better.
