Bailouts make friends.
Or so thought many people.
AIG even thought so - as well as their key shareholders.
Or maybe not.
The huge insurance company has had an amazing array of TV spots touting thanks as well as success for the billion dollar bailout from the American taxpayer.
But today we learn that AIG's former top boss is suing Joe Citizen.
Hank Greenberg, the former chairman of AIG has sued the Federal government and Time put it this way:
Greenberg isn’t thankful for the rescue. In fact, he thinks we the taxpayers ripped him off in the deal, and he will meet with AIG’s board today in an attempt to convince the company to join his company, Starr International, in a law suit against the federal government, according to a report yesterday in The New York Times.
