The Righteous Brothers made the song a part of many people's lives. Mine is just such a life.
The words resonate with the love I hold for my bride. It's own history's interesting.
The song's been redone by over 500 artists since 1955. And it all came from a little known prison movie called "Unchained". (Hence the title of the song...)
Many who loved it, sang it. They still do.
Den
So did Roy Orbison.
So did Perry Como.
So did Elvis.
And even Susan Boyle.
And Sam Cooke.

I remember Al Hibbler's version when I was in high school. (class of 1956) It is still one of my favorites. I think the Righteous Bros version is the best though.
